It was a MAGICAL summer!
This really was the best summer yet in so many ways! For the first time ever we did a camper survey every Friday morning as part of our last day ritual. And week after week, we’d thumb through them and see some variation of the phrase “BEST SUMMER YET” paired with all kinds of puncuation and exclamation points.
While we wish we could go back to our magical campfire nights, we also hope that all of our campers are enjoying the start of fall with everything it brings. Our camp family grew again by almost every measure, and we are so lucky to get to know and love all of you!
Just in case you’re feeling nostalgic (because Meghan, Caleb, and I for sure are!) we’ve added two blog posts from campfire talks given this summer.
Carter Cole gave this incredible Thursday night campfire talk on his last evening with us on staff about his 11 year journey at camp.
Lauren Thull gave this moving talk about how challenging experiences have turned into gifts that have made her who she is.
Every year it is such a joy to get to see campers come back, and eventually become counselors and staff. We promise to stay in touch with you this fall as our new information comes out for Summer 2025. You can expect a very similar summer schedule, with a few additional programs like our Leader-in-Training Program that we debuted last summer for students who will have completed 8th-10th grade. Registration will open the first weekend in December. In the meantime, we have a few reminders and save-the-dates for you below.
PARENT SURVEY RESULTS
We are very excited to begin compiling all of the survey data we have gotten from both campers and parents! This project will be completed over the next month after which we will share the report with our full camp community. If you did not participate yet, you have until Sun. Sept. 15th to complete the survey.
CANTEEN CLOSING DEADLINE
More than half of our parents completed this task during the summer, and if so you are all set. If not, all Canteen Account Closing Forms are due next week by Tuesday. Sept. 17th We will be issuing tax statements for donations and/or requested refunds the following day. Any balances over $5.00 can donated, forwarded, or refunded. All remaining funds will be automatically donated to the Camp Scholarship Fund.
BOOKINGS & RETREATS | OCT – APR
Like last year, we’d love to host groups of all ages at camp during the school year. In our heated cabins we can accommodate single family getaways to larger groups of up to 98 people. We want to offer our space as a gift to our community at very affordable rates (appx. $20/person/night). More info available here.
REGISTRATION INFO | DEC 7-8
Like last year, we will open registration the first weekend in December. Our full summer schedule will be available online on November 1st. We will have applications for our LITs, CITs, and Counselors open slightly sooner in mid-October. Please email us at any time with questions!
