High School Week!

Week 7 Blog – July 26-31, 2026

Week 7 was not as big as Week 6 (our record smasher!) but if you had walked around camp, you never would have guessed it. The energy was crazy from the moment everyone arrived, and the campers made sure there was never a dull moment.

The biggest event of the week was, of course, the Olympics. This week’s teams featured quite the lineup of storybook legends: Lord Farquaad, Maleficent, Goldilocks, and the Bridge Troll. All four teams battled through a week of Olympic games, challenges, and showed their spirit all week long. In the end it all came down to the final game: steeplechase. Steeplechase is kind of like an amazing race around camp. After an intense finish, the Bridge Trolls came out on top and earned bragging rights.

The Olympic games themselves were full of impressive performances. Some events were incredibly impressive, while others made us question the decision-making abilities of our campers….ha! However, every single one was entertaining and full of fun. Whether people were sprinting, cheering, or dramatically celebrating victories that were worth absolutely nothing outside of camp, everyone bought into the fun, and that’s what made the week so special.

One of the biggest highlights aside from the competition was our all-camp devo. It was one of those nights when everyone seemed fully engaged and connected with their faith and it was a great reminder of what camp is really about. Those moments of slowing down together always end up being some of the most meaningful parts of the week.

Coffee House also was a big hit. And the skits just kept getting funnier as the night went on, with campers bringing plenty of creativity, skill, and comedy to the table.

Even though Week 7 was smaller in numbers, it certainly wasn’t smaller in excitement. The enthusiasm everyone brought made camp feel just as full as a huge week, and it proved once again that you don’t need a gigantic crowd to make lasting memories.
